Seattle, WA — In its third year, Fashion in Flight has become one of the Pacific Northwest’s most anticipated fashion events, a night when runway glamour meets aviation-inspired elegance. This year’s show took over the Museum of Flight, turning the venue into a capsule of culture, craft, and compelling storytelling. The mission was clear: showcase designers who wield fashion as a language—one that speaks of identity, resilience, and empowerment—and present it through the eyes of models as diverse as the region itself.
The evening was staged by Fashion District NW, led by CEO and Founder David Bailey, whose signature approach blends high-style fashion with edgy and whimsical style. Among the evening’s highlights were a live DJ spinning current tracks, red-carpet photo ops for guests, and showcases from five talented designers who each offered a distinct voice: Sew Hot Right Now, More Lashay’s, Takke One Second, Riah The Label, and Elena Razlog, who closed the night with a finale that felt both dramatic and deeply personal.
The lineup unfolded like a curated narrative, with each designer weaving a thread of meaning into their garments.

Sew Hot Right Now opened the show with a Geek-Chic Whimsy collection. The line embraced bold self-expression through playful, tech-inspired motifs and silhouettes that read as both whimsy and runway-ready. If clothing is a language, Sew Hot Right Now spoke with confident fluency, inviting wearers to embrace their identities with flair and joy.

More Lashay’s followed, delivering a message of empowerment through fashion. The collection centered on confidence, individuality, and unapologetic style, featuring statement silhouettes and precise tailoring designed to celebrate the wearer’s personal narrative as much as their silhouette.

Takke One Second presented a collection rooted in resilience, creativity and the power of decisive moments. Each piece seemed to carry a story of turning small, pivotal moments into larger trajectories, translating strength into wearable art that nods to the importance of seizing the moment.
Riah The Label explored self-expression as a pathway to personal power. With a background in professional sport, Riah The Label understands the beauty of strength with designs to empower both movement and confidence for all. The garments invited wearers to articulate identity, confidence, and resilience through thoughtful construction and expressive details—a manifesto in fabric aimed at more than adornment.

Elena Razlog closed the night with Fabric of Opera, a collection that paid homage to iconic opera heroines. The designs balanced theatricality and modern fashion, merging stage grandeur with contemporary sensibilities to produce looks that felt timeless.

Together, the five designers transformed clothing into narrative devices. Each collection offered a lens on how fashion can express identity, resilience, and personal power, reinforcing the idea that when creativity is married to meaning, clothing becomes a canvas for individuality.
One of the standout features of Fashion in Flight was the elevated VIP experience. From the moment guests arrived, lines were virtually nonexistent, and a dedicated VIP area offered prime seating and premium amenities. Gift bags from sponsors—Laderack chocolates, Bundt Cakes, and complimentary round-trip flight vouchers with Seaport Airlines—added a touch of luxury and gratitude for attendees who traveled from across the region.
Front-row seating provided an intimate vantage point, with models and hosts guiding guests to their seats and ensuring a seamless blend of hospitality and haute couture. The show’s aviation-inspired ambiance underscored the evening’s theme—the beauty of airplanes meeting style. The silhouettes, textures, and detailing paid homage to aeronautical design while staying firmly rooted in contemporary fashion language.
After the final collection, an after-show meet-and-greet offered guests a relaxed opportunity to mingle with models and designers, capturing candid moments and photos that bridged the worlds of art and fashion. The Fashion in Flight, as this event demonstrated, transcends the traditional fashion show. It’s a convergence of beauty, engineering, and design, a celebration of storytelling through fabric and creativity.
