On Saturday May 11,2019 at the Prudential Center Mc Donald’s Gospel Fest held its 37th Annual Celebration in Tribute to” The Legendary Aretha Franklin”. The Gospel Fest is a celebration of upcoming soloist, choirs, Gospel Poets, Gospel comedians, and Rappers from around the nation to compete for the gospel fest title. The Newark Prudential Center kicked of the festivities at 5-7pm for with Producer director Curtis Farrow. The competition of Choirs around the national competed for the title of Gospel fest winner. The spirit was amazing, and endowed crowd with cheers of joy. All with the same mission statement of spreading Love, Peace and joy.
Channel ATV was able to speak to The Kean College Gospel Choir who was truly excited and grateful for the Gospel Fest Experience.

Mayor Raz Barack Honor’s the Family of Aretha Franklin with an Award of Legend. Charles H Ellis III of Pastor of Greater Grace Temple Honors Aretha Franklin Family with an award that representing her life and commitment to bringing joy, and truth of soul through her music.
Aretha Franklin “The Legend “New York City 12th Council District Music & Humanitarian Award was presented by Pastor Charles Ellis III. As the night transitioned into a concert of Gospel Greats with Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Tamar Braxton, and Hezekiah Walker breathe taking performances.

Gospel Legend Shirley Caesar
Channel ATV was able to capture special moments with The Gospel Legend Pastor Shirley Caesar. Pastor Caesar explained the truth in love of ministry, in music, and the love for the mothers of the gospel. Pastor wanted to celebrate the love for the Mothers in all they do. Pastor Shirley Caesar explained the passion of ministry in gospel music. Pastor Shirley spoke about family and honoring those who passed on. Shirley Took a moment to give Thanks to God for keeping us here.
