Renton, WA – August 14, 2025 – Providence Swedish, Seattle Sounders FC, and the RAVE Foundation joined forces once again to host the third annual Community Assist: Renton School District Health Fair, a growing tradition dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and community engagement. The event was held at the Providence Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse in Renton, drawing hundreds of families, educators, and students for a day of connection, care, and celebration.

Promoting Health and Wellness for Families
The Community Health Fair was designed to provide accessible, no-cost health services to families, ensuring that children and caregivers enter the school year with the resources they need to succeed. Providence Swedish clinicians and staff offered preventive screenings, wellness consultations, and health education covering topics such as nutrition, mental health, and exercise. Information booths and partner organizations provided materials to help families better understand long-term health management, with an emphasis on prevention and early care.

Organizers emphasized that the fair is more than a one-day event; it is part of a larger effort to reduce barriers to healthcare access and support families in historically underserved communities. The partnership between Providence Swedish and Sounders FC reflects a shared mission to blend healthcare, sports, and education to uplift the entire region.

A Partnership Beyond Sports
Seattle Sounders FC and the RAVE Foundation contributed a unique layer to the fair by highlighting the role of sports in building community health and resilience. Children and families had opportunities to interact with Sounders FC players, participate in soccer-themed activities, and learn about the importance of teamwork, physical activity, and self-confidence. By combining healthcare with the energy of professional sports, the fair fostered a welcoming environment where families felt supported both physically and emotionally.

Strengthening Community Bonds
Now in its third year, the Community Assist Health Fair has become a cornerstone event for the Renton School District. It not only equips families with vital health resources but also strengthens relationships between schools, healthcare providers, and local organizations. The fair embodies the spirit of collaboration—bringing together medical professionals, educators, sports leaders, and nonprofit organizations to build a stronger, healthier future for youth.

A Growing Legacy
The continued success of the Community Health Fair underscores the importance of long-term investment in community well-being. Each year, the event expands in reach and impact, serving as a model for how healthcare institutions and professional sports organizations can work hand in hand to address community needs. By prioritizing accessibility, inclusivity, and equity, Providence Swedish, Sounders FC, and the RAVE Foundation are creating a lasting legacy that extends far beyond the pitch or the clinic.
