Seahawks Legend Cliff Avril hosts inaugural Youth Football in Pacific Northwest

Seahawks Legend Cliff Avril hosted his first  youth football camp on Saturday, July 13th at the Renton Memorial Stadium. It was a free event for youth ages 8-14 years old.

Cliff Avril played for the Seahawks from 2012-2017. He is a Super Bowl XXVIII Champion and a Pro Bowler. He recently retired from the NFL and currently considers Seattle his home.

Cliff Avril increases his community footprint with an inaugural youth football camp. The former Seahawk defensive end has teamed up with the Benson Bruins to host his first youth football camp in the Seattle-Renton area. The camp was attended by not only boys but a few girls including the only girl in the Benson Bruins team, MacKenzie Manglona.

All the  participants received a camp shirt, photo with Cliff, sports goody bag and autograph football. Fred Meyer  provided lunch for the kids while Chick-fil-A Bellevue fed the volunteers and coaches.

Cliff was joined by current and former Seahawks players to provide one-on-one instruction to the youth, alongside coaches from the Benson Bruins. NFL Hall of Fame Walter Jones was in attendance along with other Seahawks Legends’ Kam Chancellor, Doug Baldwin, Richard Sherman and Deshawn Shead.

Current Seahawk players who helped Cliff with the camp were KJ Wright, Nazair Jones and Jerran Reed.
