As a Founder  of a non profit called WeAssistU Foundation whose mission is to empower and mentor youth, it is inspiring to me to be a part of events like this. One of our Youth Ambassadors, Angelique DelaCruz who was the 2022 Rising Star presented the award for this year’s rising award. The 2023 Rising Star Award winner is Madeline Decker. She is the awardee that stood out the most for me because she is the youngest award winner. She is just a young girl who is  full of confidence, style and grace.

Another couple of winners that were did some impactful work are the Denise White Foster Care Award winners, Eileen Sanford and Maricres Castro for their volunteerism. The audience were teary eyed when the speeches were delivered about their passion for the foster kids and the work and experience helping them.

The Lifetime Achievement award is given to an individual who changes and influences the lives of others. The recipient this year is the CEO of Miss Universe, Amy Emmerich.

It was a night to remember. An evening full of fun, excitement and joy for many pageant professionals and queens. We look forward for next year’s event.
