The All-Star Baseball Game capped the day with a nail-biting showdown, as Team Lofa Tatupu edged out their opponents in a 12-10 victory. Former MLB pitcher Gerald Smiley earned MVP honors, crushing two home runs and adding a crucial double to lead his team to victory.

Purpose Beyond the Game
Organized by Drew Damberville and Kerry Carter, with Emmy-nominated former UW football standout Terry Hollimon emceeing, the Classic was more than just a sports event—it was a celebration of unity and giving back.
Through the Filling the Gap Initiatives, this year’s event raised over $20,000 to support local youth sports non-profits, ensuring young athletes in underserved communities have access to resources, training, and opportunities.
“The Seattle All-Star Classic is a celebration of community, athletic achievement, and entertainment,” said organizer Drew Damberville. “We’re proud to bring people together to enjoy these moments and support local talent.”
