A DEFENSIVE BATTLE EARLY
Super Bowl LX began as a defensive struggle.
Seattle opened the scoring with a 33-yard field goal from Jason Myers, giving the Seahawks a 3–0 lead. Myers added another field goal in the second quarter, this time from 39 yards, to make it 6–0.
The Seahawks continued to move the football on the ground, with Kenneth Walker III providing the biggest offensive plays. Walker broke runs of 29 and 30 yards during one Seattle drive in the second quarter, helping put the Seahawks in position for another Myers field goal.
Myers converted from 41 yards, giving Seattle a 9–0 advantage at halftime.

The Patriots finally answered in the fourth quarter.
Maye connected with Mack Hollins on a 35-yard touchdown pass, cutting Seattle’s advantage to 19–7.
Seattle responded with another Myers field goal, this time from 26 yards, pushing the lead to 22–7.
The Patriots scored again late when Maye connected with Rhamondre Stevenson for a seven-yard touchdown, making the score 22–13 after New England failed to convert the two-point attempt.
Seattle then put the game out of reach with another scoring drive, finishing the championship victory 29–13.
JASON MYERS MAKES SUPER BOWL HISTORY
Seattle kicker Jason Myers produced one of the most memorable special-teams performances in Super Bowl history.
Myers converted all five of his field-goal attempts, from 33, 39, 41, 41 and 26 yards.
His five field goals established a Super Bowl record, surpassing the previous mark of four field goals shared by several kickers.
Myers scored 17 of Seattle’s 29 points, making him a crucial part of the Seahawks’ championship performance.
SAM DARNOLD AND THE SEATTLE OFFENSE
Quarterback Sam Darnold completed 19 of 38 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown, with no interceptions. He was sacked once for eight yards.
Darnold’s touchdown pass to Barner became Seattle’s first offensive touchdown of the game.
The Patriots’ defense limited Seattle’s passing attack, including holding Jaxon Smith-Njigba to four receptions for 27 yards. Cooper Kupp led Seattle in receiving with six catches for 61 yards, while Barner finished with four catches for 54 yards and a touchdown.
But Seattle compensated through its running game, finishing with 141 rushing yards compared with New England’s 79.

SECOND SUPER BOWL TITLE FOR SEATTLE
The 29–13 victory gave the Seahawks their second Super Bowl championship.
Seattle’s first championship came in Super Bowl XLVIII, when the Seahawks defeated Denver 43–8. The franchise returned to the Super Bowl the following season but lost to New England in Super Bowl XLIX.
